Meeting point: Monument Underground station (London Bridge, King William Street exit) at 10.15am
The aim of the NLU3A London History Group is to provide a comfortable walk for exploring the historical interest of a particular area, including viewing buildings, churches, ruins, and open spaces.
Starting at Monument station, we will go back to pre-historic times and then take a route travelling through the Roman, Anglo-Saxon, Tudor, Georgian and Victorian eras and more, until we reach Bank station on 21 August 2025. Along the route we will find water, wood, stonework, churches, skulls, a safe, a garden, a carbuncle and controversy!
This walk, which is led by Gaby Williams and June Nash, is free for all but has limited spaces.
To book and for further details, please email June at: junenash29m@gmail.com
