As a poor cousin to neighbouring Hampstead and Highgate, Kentish Town is under-appreciated, and suffers from a widespread myth that here there is little of value here. In this talk, London guide and Kentish Town resident Colin Davey will attempt to debunk this myth, covering amongst other things architecture, transport, public buildings, retail, and notable people. With material sourced from the Camden Local History Archives, the talk will look at both significant and quirky local sites, putting everything in historical context.
Colin is a professional City of London Guide and City of Westminster Guide tour guide, and also a former managing partner of a City law firm. He holds a masters’ degree in historical research and is life member of London Historians.
