Or Derry & Toms’ iconic Art Deco Rainbow Room and decadent rooftop garden? These and other famous names and architectural gems have disappeared from central London, but they are still remembered with affection by many people.
Michael Lewin, a retired architect and Shape of London speaker, will take us on a nostalgic illustrated tour of some of London’s lost department stores, revealing their origins, heydays and demise.
