This group is aimed at people who have either never played bridge before, or who last played many moons ago, and are keen to learn and start or re-start to play bridge. Hopefully you will will enjoy learning about, and playing bridge and develop your bridge knowledge and skills with 'hands-on' experience. We can accommodate up to 8 players at a session.
We play prepared bridge hands as well as discussing any new learning topics. Advice is offered as to how hands may be bid or played but appreciate that for totally new players you will need time to understand the rules and communication between partners when playing a bridge hand.
The weekly meetings are supplemented by bridge quizzes which are sent out in advance and we then hand out and discuss the answers at the following meeting. The quizzes for the new players/restarters are simpler than those for players who already have some knowledge of the game.
