We welcome you to our group.
No prior knowledge of jazz music is required. However, within a short space of time you may surprise yourself as to how you have absorbed one or two interesting jazz facts.
We are currently a small enthusiastic group who meet fortnightly in members’ homes in the Finchley Central or East Finchley areas, which are well served by buses and nearby tube stations. Our sessions are on Thursdays 10.30-12 noon, with a midway break. We cover a wide and varied range of jazz music from blues, dixieland, vocal, big band through to modern and the current century.
Individual members regularly give a CD presentation and sometimes a YouTube presentation - with the group freely giving their comments, while on other occasions members bring their CDs and select their choice of tracks to play. We also have occasional visits from live musicians too!
Occasionally an outside speaker is invited. Support is readily available for anyone wishing to present.
