The Charterhouse is an almshouse in the City of London with historic buildings dating back to medieval and Tudor times. A professional guide will show us the highlights, taking in the evocative remnants of the medieval monastery and the courtyards of the Tudor mansion and casting new light on well-known stories from British history including the plague, the Reformation, Tudor intrigue and the Blitz.
